Current Openings

Chief Sales Officer (CSO)

Digital Systems is looking for an experienced sales leader to help us achieve significant growth in European markets.

We are looking for someone who will remain an active salesperson—personally creating, managing, and closing strategic enterprise deals while also leading the sales team and driving the company’s sales strategy.

This is not a position focused solely on strategy, reporting, or representing the company. The new CSO will have their own sales target and direct responsibility for acquiring new customers.

The role combines active enterprise sales with leading the sales team and owning the sales strategy in roughly equal measure.

The main mission is Digital Systems’ international expansion into selected European markets, along with establishing and further developing the sales team. The DACH region is among the markets we intend to actively explore, but the final priorities will be based on the actual business potential of individual countries and segments.

Your responsibilities and duties

As CSO, you will be a member of the company’s executive team and will have a direct impact on the business strategy, international expansion, pricing, and go-to-market approach for our solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • personally sourcing, developing, and closing new enterprise deals with banks and fintech companies—from identifying opportunities to negotiating and signing contracts,
  • identifying and developing the most promising European markets and building a high-quality sales pipeline in those markets,
  • developing relationships with bank executives and other key decision-makers,
  • owning the sales strategy, market segmentation, pricing, and go-to-market approach for individual solutions,
  • leading a sales team of approximately 3 to 5 direct subordinates,
  • establish clear responsibilities, goals, and a regular rhythm for sales management,
  • coach sales representatives and support them in pursuing significant opportunities and developing existing clients,
  • ensure high-quality pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM usage,
  • oversee partner and indirect sales, while maintaining a primary focus on direct enterprise sales,
  • work closely with the product, technology, delivery, and finance teams,
  • ensure that new deals are not only profitable but also feasible and financially healthy.

The sales team has undergone changes. The new CSO will have the opportunity to define its operations, responsibilities, and sales rhythm so that the team works in a coordinated, predictable manner with a clear focus on results.

Who We’re Looking For

We expect:

  • at least 8 years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, including experience leading a sales team,
  • a proven track record of acquiring new enterprise customers and closing complex deals,
  • experience in the banking, fintech, payments, or broader financial sector,
  • a good understanding of how banks operate, the regulated environment, and lengthy decision-making processes,
  • experience leading deals involving multiple decision-makers and stakeholders,
  • the ability to communicate with C-level executives, as well as IT, operations, payments, compliance, and procurement teams,
  • the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value,
  • hands-on experience with pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM,
  • the ability to lead people while remaining an active sales professional,
  • professional-level English.

The following will be a significant advantage:

  • direct experience selling technology solutions to banks,
  • knowledge of SWIFT, payments, AML, compliance, or banking infrastructure,
  • experience with expansion into new European markets,
  • an existing network of relevant contacts at banks, fintech companies, or payment service providers (PSPs) in Europe,
  • experience or a strong network of contacts in the DACH region,
  • experience building or developing a high-performing sales team,
  • knowledge of the German language.

Position and Work Location

The CSO will be a member of the company’s executive team and will report directly to company management.

He or she will work closely with the COO, who oversees the overall management of the company, as well as with other members of the executive team on key business and strategic decisions.

Within the agreed-upon mandate, the CSO will make decisions regarding pricing, discounts, and terms of sale. For significant or non-standard transactions, the CSO will coordinate the process with other members of management.

Work Location:

Bratislava, hybrid work arrangement.
